About this site

I've been very lucky over the past few years to receive amazing support from an armada of aviation enthusiasts on YouTube.

YouTube will always be the main way in which I communicate my passion for Cold War and other aviation topics. But the fact is that YouTube and the broader internet are changing. With so much AI-made content out there it is increasingly hard to keep the channel going. It is also hard to keep all of my research from being taken and used in these AI videos and articles.

Lots of other YouTubers use Patreon to fill the gap that this changing internet creates. My issue is that Patreon doesn't allow me to share the library of data and notes that won't make good videos, but I think are interesting and useful to others like myself.

Notapound.com is therefore my way of distributing some of that additional information and analysis in a way that also supports the channel and allows me to keep focusing on the eclectic and interesting corners of aviation, rather than the clickbait, the hype and the sensational!
